"It's been a busy time since we last spoke so apologies for not getting in touch sooner. As I'm sure you were aware, I was brutally unprepared for the consultant interview that I had flown back for almost 2 weeks ago. I had hoped to start looking for jobs and preparing adequately on my return from fellowship in Australia but the dream job came up and I had to put my hat into the ring. Our 2-hour Skype session laid bare the lack of/miss guided preparation that I had under my belt only hours before my first consultant interview (and first interview for over 6 years). I will be honest and confess that I did feel somewhat broken, despondent and doomed after our 2 hour session and repaired to the hotel bar for a stiff gin and tonic to contemplate my forthcoming fate. I went to bed at 11 but awoke at 4am (Oz jet lag and fear combined) and proceeded to rehearse my answers to the many questions using your formulae. I went into the interview at 2pm on that Friday and something clicked. I went at it full pelt against the odds and .... got the job! Many thanks for all your help in re-calibrating my approach to answering the questions. I suspect the main take home message was that every questions should be turned around to sell yourself. I am very grateful for your help in making this happen."
