INTERVIEW SKILLS COURSES & ONE-TO-ONE COACHING SESSIONS

How to cancel
Requests for cancellation of your booking on an interview skills course must be made by telephone on 0845 226 9487 and confirmed by email at enquiries@iscmedical.co.uk. The effective time of cancellation will be taken as the date and time on which we receive written confirmation.

General cancellation fees

• Cancellation 28 days or more before the course
  a refund will be granted, subject to the deduction of a £20 administration fee.
• Cancellation 14 days to 27 days before the course
  A refund will be granted subject to the deduction of a £80 administration fee.
• Cancellation 5 days to 13 days or less before the course
  A refund will only be granted if we are able to resell your place to someone else. Such refund will be subject to a deduction of an administration fee of £80
• Late cancellations (5 days or less before the course)
  We regret that no cancellation can be accepted in the 5 days preceding a course or an appointment or on the day of the course/appointment itself.

Postponing your course
If you are unable to make the course that you originally booked, you may wish to postpone your booking to a future course.

If you are postponing for the first time:

• If you are asking for a postponement 14 days or more before the day of the course and it is the first time you wish to postpone, then you can transfer your booking onto another course for free. The postponement takes effect as soon as we notify you by email that we have transferred your booking.
• If you are asking for a postponement between 5 and 13 days before the course, then a fee of £80 will be charged, which must be paid by midnight the day following your request. The postponement takes effect only when your payment has been received. Failure to pay the fee by that time will result in the request for transfer being cancelled and your will remain booked on the original course. Should you wish to transfer the course again, you will need to make a further request.
• We regret that we cannot accept course postponements 5 days or less before the course date.

If you are postponing for the second or more time:

• The same conditions as above apply except that, if you are asking for a postponement 14 days or more before the day of the course then an £80 fee will be charged. The postponement takes effect only when your payment has been received. Failure to pay the fee by that time will result in the request for transfer being cancelled and your will remain booked on the original course. Should you wish to transfer the course again, you will need to make a further request.

Please note that we can only accept request for transfers onto courses which are being advertised at the time of request. In particular we cannot accept requests to hold money on behalf of a client until a suitable course become available. If you wish to postpone a booking onto an undetermined course in the future, you will need to cancel your booking and book again in the future when a suitable arises.

CVS

General conditions
CVs are written on the basis of information that you are providing through an already existing CV and any other information you wish to provide. A first draft will be provided to you by an agreed date, containing a request for further information that, we believe, will enhance your CV's content. You may provide that additional information at any time following receipt of the first draft. If that information is provided within 2 days of our request, we will endeavour to complete the CV within 48 hours of receipt of that information. If that information is received more than two days after our request, we will endeavour to complete the CV as soon as possible in relation to our workload but no longer than 5 working days after receipt of that information.

General cancellation fees
Cancellation 10 days or more before the first draft of the CV is due to be issued: A full refund will be issued subject to the deduction of a £50 administration charge.Cancellation 9 days or less before the first draft of the CV is due to be issued:
No refund can be issued as work will have already commenced on your CV.

IMPORTANT - Sending your current CV
Once you have made your booking for a CV slot, you will be required to send us a copy of your current CV. We MUST receive your CV at least FIVE days before the date that you have booked for submission of the first draft of the CV.

Should your current CV be received less than 5 days before the booked date then we cannot guarantee the timescale and will write your CV as and when a slot becomes available.

Should your current CV not be received at all by us before the date booked for the first draft, then we will cancel our booking and no refund of any money will be made.

DOCUMENT DOWNLOADS

No refunds can be granted for downloads at any time. Should you have problems downloading the documents purchased, please contact us so that we can email you a copy. In no circumstances can such purchases be cancelled.

PURCHASE OF BOOKS

Delivery
Books are dispatched by First Class or Express Delivery, depending on your choice at time of booking. Please note that Express Delivery is only available for delivery to UK addresses.

First Class delivery is free of charge for UK delivery and means that you are likely to receive your books within the timescales of the relevant carrier (Royal Mail in the UK - typically 2 to 5 days). Books sent outside the UK are sent paper rate and may take longer to arrive to you. The delivery charge for books sent outside the UK is £2 per book ordered. We cannot be held responsible for delays incurred due to the carrier.

Express delivery is only available for UK delivery addresses and means that the books are guaranteed by the carrier to be delivered the next business day before 1pm. Please note that in order to ensure next business day delivery, you will need to place your order before 11am, otherwise your book may be sent the following business day. If you choose express delivery, you will be given a tracking number which will enable you to track online through the royal mail website where your order is. The fee for Express delivery within the UK is £7 in addition to normal first class cost (See above), regardless of the number of books.

Books sent to hospital-based addresses or other obvious communal addresses and books sent within days of the examination are automatically dispatched by Registered Post to ensure they are signed for.

Returns and refunds

1. Once you have received the book, you will be entitled to a seven-day cooling off period (working days), during which you may decide to return the book to us for any reason. If you wish to cancel your contract with us for the book(s) in question you will need to notify us before the end of the seven-day period by telephone and back up your request by email, to be sent to enquiries@iscmedical.co.uk , also within the seven-day cooling off period. Any confirmation email received after the end of the cooling-off period will not be considered.
2. If the book is returned to us in pristine condition i.e. "as new" and can be resold "as new" then you will receive a full refund (minus a deduction for any credit/debit card fee that we may have incurred as a result of your original booking). If the book is returned to us in an unsatisfactory condition and cannot be resold as new, we may decide to issue a partial refund, if any.
3. Whilst in your possessions, you will be responsible to take good care of any book that you are returning. You are also responsible to ensure that we receive the book back within 15 days of written confirmation of the cancellation. Any refund will be granted once the book is physically in our possession (we would therefore recommend that you use a Registered Post service). You will also be responsible for the cost of sending the book back to us. If the book that you are returning was sent to you damaged or was sent to you in error then we will bear the return costs and the credit/debit card deduction will not apply.
4. The return address for books is as follows: ISCMedical, Suite 434, Hamilton House, Mabledon Place, London WC1H 9BB. No other address should be used.
5. Should you fail to return the books within 15 days of your written confirmation of cancellation, we will take steps to recover the goods and any cost incurred as a result will be deducted from the refund.
6. If the books have been sent to you by Recorded or Special Delivery (so-called "next day"), their progress may be tracked through a tracking code that we will provide you. You will be deemed to have received the book if Royal Mail has attempted to deliver the book or if someone has signed on your behalf in your absence. The 7-day cooling off period will start from the date of attempted delivery. If you fail to collect the books from the local delivery office (where applicable) and the books are subsequently returned to us, you will not be entitled to a refund and will be required instead to pay the additional postage required to send the books back to you either at the address originally given in the booking or at an alternative address.

MDU MEMBER DISCOUNT

Discounts are available for MDU members on selected products, as indicated on the relevant product pages.  To benefit from the discount MDU members are required to enter their membership number when prompted during the checkout process.  The discount will be granted once the MDU membership number has been validated.  We regret that discounts will only apply at the time of booking or placing an order and cannot be granted retrospectively.

YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL IN THE SEVEN DAYS FOLLOWING A BOOKING

In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations 2000, you may cancel your booking for a service in the seven days following your original booking, for any reason. In the case of physical goods such as books, the seven day period counts from the time you receive the goods.

Any cancellation should be notified by telephone on 0845 226 9487 and followed up by a written confirmation to be sent to enquiries@iscmedical.co.uk. The cancellation will be effective from the date and time on which the email was received by us. Cancellation of your booking within seven days of the date on which you make the booking or received the books will give rise to a full refund, subject to the deduction of a £3 administration fee for books and £20 for courses, designed to cover any credit/debit card fee and administration costs. A cancellation fee will be charged for EACH item cancelled.

Please note that is subject to the following:

1. This right does not extend to downloadable documents which are non-refundable at all times.
2. For courses and one-to-one coaching, if your booking was made less than 7 days before the service is to be provided then normal cancellation charges for that period will apply.
