BOOKING COURSES
General cancellation policy
Requests to cancel your place on an ISC Medical course must be made by telephone in the first instance on 0845 226 9487 and confirmed by email at
enquiries@iscmedical.co.uk
. The effective time of cancellation will be taken as the date and time on which we receive your
written
confirmation.
Where our cancellation policy refers to ‘days’, these are defined as full ‘working days’ which means all days other than Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, with partial days not counting
General cancellation fees
Cancellation 21 days or more before the course
A refund will be granted, subject to the deduction of an administration fee of £20 per course day (i.e. a 2-day course will incur a cancellation fee of £40 in total).
Cancellation 11 days to 20 days before the course
A refund will be granted subject to the deduction of an administration fee of £80 per course day.
Cancellation 5 days to 10 days or less before the course
A refund will only be granted if we are able to resell your place to someone else. Such refund will be subject to the deduction of an administration fee of £80 per course day.
Late cancellations (4 days or less before the course)
We regret that no cancellation can be accepted 4 days or less before a course or on the day of the course itself.
Postponing your course
If you are unable to attend the course that you originally booked for whatever reason, you may wish to postpone your booking to a future course. Requests to postpone your place on an ISC Medical course must be made by telephone in the first instance on 0845 226 9487 and confirmed by email at
enquiries@iscmedical.co.uk
.
Where our postponement policy refers to ‘days’, these are defined as ‘working days’ which means all days other than Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, with partial days not counting.
Postponing 11 days or more before the course
If you are postponing for the first time:
If you are asking for a postponement 11 days or more before the day of the course and it is the first time you have requested a postponement, then you can transfer your booking onto another course for free. The postponement takes effect as soon as we notify you by email that we have transferred your booking.
If you are postponing for the second time or more:
If you are asking for a postponement 11 days or more before the day of the course and you have already postponed a course, then you can transfer your booking onto another course subject to a payment of an administration fee of £80, which must be paid by 23:59 on the day payment of that fee has been requested. The postponement will only take effect when your payment has been received. Failure to pay the fee by that time will result in the request for transfer being cancelled and you will remain booked on the original course. Should you wish to transfer the course again, you will need to make a further request.
Postponing between 5 and 10 days before the course
If you are asking for a postponement between 5 and 10 days before the course, then you can transfer your booking onto another course subject to a payment of an administration fee of £80, which must be paid by 23:59 on the day payment of that fee has been requested. The postponement will take effect only when your payment has been received. Failure to pay the fee by that time will result in the request for transfer being cancelled and you will remain booked on the original course. Should you wish to transfer the course again, you will need to make a further request.
Postponing 4 days or less before the course date
We regret that no request for postponement can be accepted 4 days or less before a course or on the day of the course itself.
Please note that we can only accept requests for transfers on to courses which are being advertised at the time of request. In particular, we cannot accept requests to hold money on behalf of a client until a suitable course becomes available. If you wish to postpone a booking onto an unadvertised course in the future, it will be necessary for you to cancel your booking and book again in the future, when a suitable course date is advertised and this will be subject to our general cancellation terms and conditions above.
When a course booking has been postponed once, it can no longer be cancelled. However it may be postponed further, subject to the terms and conditions set out above. The entitlement for further postponement and any fee payable will be based and calculated using the new date as a reference

General conditions
CVs are written on the basis of information that you are providing through an already existing CV and any other information you wish to provide. A first draft will be provided to you by an agreed date, containing a request for further information that, we believe, will enhance your CV's content. You may provide that additional information at any time following receipt of the first draft. If that information is provided within 2 days of our request, we will endeavour to complete the CV within 2 days of receipt of that information. If that information is received more than two days after our request, we will endeavour to complete the CV as soon as possible in relation to our workload
General cancellation fees
Where our cancellation policy refers to ‘days’, these are defined as full ‘working days’ which means all days other than Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, with partial days not counting
Cancellation 11 days or more before the first draft of the CV is due to be issued:
A full refund will be issued subject to the deduction of an £80 administration charge.
Cancellation 10 days or less before the first draft of the CV is due to be issued:
No refund can be issued as work will have already commenced on your CV.
IMPORTANT - Sending your current CV
Once you have made your booking for a CV slot, you will be required to send us a copy of your current CV. We MUST receive your CV at least 5 days before the date that you have booked for submission of the first draft of the CV.
Should your current CV be received less than 5 days before the booked date then we cannot guarantee the timescale and will write your CV as and when a slot becomes available.

DOCUMENT DOWNLOADS
When ordering a downloadable product, you agree that the supply to you of the service begins at the time that you have placed the order and your payment is received by us. As such you will not have the right to cancel your order under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 once your booking has been made. No refunds can be granted for downloads at any time.
Should you have problems downloading the documents purchased, please contact us so that we can email you a copy.
PURCHASE OF BOOKS
Delivery
We will deliver the books that you order to the delivery address you give when you place your order. If you give us an incorrect or incomplete delivery address and as a result we try but are not able to make the delivery, we reserve the right to treat the order as cancelled by you. In this case we will refund the price of the books, but we shall be entitled to keep the amount you paid for delivery.
Books are dispatched by First Class or Express (Courier) Delivery, depending on your chosen delivery method at the time of order. Please note that Express Delivery is only available for delivery to UK addresses. Once we have confirmed your order, we will endeavour to deliver the books within the delivery period that applies to the option you have chosen.
Shipping costs
Shipping for books purchased as single units is charged at a rate of £2 per book for First Class UK delivery. Books purchased as "ready-made" packs are shipped at no cost for First Class UK delivery. The delivery charge for books sent outside the UK is £4 per book ordered regardless of the format and number of books. First Class UK delivery means that books are sent by Royal Mail and we cannot be held responsible for any delays (books normally take up to 5 days to reach their destination).
Express delivery is only available for UK delivery addresses and means that the books are guaranteed by the carrier to be delivered the next business day before 1pm. Please note that in order to ensure next business day delivery, you will need to place your order before 11am, otherwise your book may be sent the following business day. If you choose Express delivery, you will be given a tracking number which will enable you to track the progress of your delivery online. The fee for Express delivery within the UK is £7 in addition to the normal first class cost (see above), regardless of the number of books.
Orders of 3 books or more
Orders of 3 books or more are automatically delivered by Express delivery, without the need to pay an additional fee for Express delivery, to UK addresses. Books are guaranteed by the carrier to be delivered the next business day before 1pm.Please note that in order to ensure next business day delivery, you will need to place your order before 11am, otherwise your book may be sent the following business day. You will be given a tracking number which will enable you to track the progress of your delivery online.
Returns and refunds
We hope that you are pleased with your purchase from ISC Medical, however, we do understand that occasionally you may need to return goods to us. We have set out below the main reasons why goods tend to be returned, so please read all of the categories and follow the returns process which you feel applies to you.
Your right to change your mind
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you have the right to cancel a book order within 7 working days of receipt of the book (‘working day’ means all days other than Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) and receive a full refund, provided that:
the book has not been in your possession for more than 7 working days; and
you notify us before the end of the 7-day period by telephone in the first instance on 0845 226 9487 and then by email to
enquiries@iscmedical.co.uk
that you wish to cancel your order.
Please note that the cancellation will not be official until we have received the email notification. If you fail to notify us by email within the 7 working day period, you are no longer entitled to cancel the order under these regulations and any request received after the end of the cooling-off period will not be considered.
If you cancel your contract under the Distance Selling Regulations, you must take reasonable care of the book from the time you receive them until you return them to us. You must return the book to us at your expense within 15 days of your written confirmation of cancellation. Should you fail to return the book within 15 days of your written confirmation of cancellation, we may charge you our direct costs of recovering the item.
You will receive a refund via your original payment method as soon as reasonably practicable, but no later than 30 calendar days after cancellation of your order has been received by us in writing.
We have sent the wrong book
In the unlikely event that a book has been supplied to you in error then please notify us by telephone in the first instance on 0845 226 9487 and then by email to
enquiries@iscmedical.co.uk
We will ask you to return the book to us within 15 days of your written confirmation. We will exchange this item for the book which you originally ordered and refund you the cost to return the item to us.
We have sent a damaged book
We make every effort to ensure that the book you ordered is adequately packaged and should arrive in pristine condition.
